Overview

We no longer have a 'School Zone' as part of an enrolment scheme, so welcome all enrolment applications.

Whangarei Girls' High School also have a boarding facility called "Lupton House" next to the school campus. It is a very popular choice for parents who want the best possible schooling for their daughter, but live too far away for daily commuting. For more information see Lupton House.

2018 enrolments- please contact our school office on Ph 430 4411 for enquiries.

THE SWITCH PROJECT

Our students are entering a different world to that of their parents and teachers with new job and learning opportunities. These opportunities need students that can think deeply about issues, solve problems creatively, communicate clearly in a variety of media, learn ever-changing technologies, and deal with multiple sources of information. Most importantly, these opportunities need students who can adapt thoughtfully to different situations and take ownershhip of their learning and actions. It is with these opportunities in mind that we are introducing The Switch Project in 2019. Please follow the links below for more information.

Wednesday 8 August 2018

Open Evening is for all prospective students and parents/caregivers of current Year 8 students. A guided tour of the school will be given by our Prefects as well as a preview of what our school has to offer students for 2019. Parents also have the opportunity to discuss any questions that have with teachers, Heads of Departments and the Senior Leadership Team.

Orientation Day

Friday 16 November 2018

A full-day programme for all new Year 9 students that have enrolled for the 2019 school year. This is the perfect opportunity for students to get a "taste" of a full day on campus, to get to know their way around the school, to start meeting new friends while having a day of fun activities. Whangarei Girls' High School recommend that all new students participate in this day in order to settle into Girls' High life quickly in the new year.

Enrolment interviews will be held at contributing schools from August 2018. Your daughter's current school will have details of specific times and dates, and you should contact them to make an appointment (WIS & KIS interviews to be booked online).

If you are looking to enrol from a non-contributing school, see the on-line information above and contact Whangarei Girls' High School on Ph 09 430 4411 to book a time for an enrolment interview at WGHS. Interviews will be held from 27 August 2018 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
